Kona, Hawaii
A memory, A prayer

Sound of doves
mixed with ocean
ancient lullaby

memories of a treehouse
middle keei road
days of youth
wild abandon
lost direction
searching wonderment

sunburn salty kisses
mixed with homemade wine
smoking pakalolo
dancing in the dark
looking for answers
no map, no place, no one

pleasure my guide
on trip down under
a silent ocean ride
deeper, darker, dimmer
flailing for a hand
drowning was no option
in this lonely land

a light from somewhere
was reflected....a glimmer
nothing more

I reached out
She heard my call
was waiting for the day
when i'd surrender and
in  her loving arms
come home to stay
