Winter Solstice

Christmas....
that insomnia time of year
When frantic buying
brings busyness fear

Forget about Christmas
its materialistic plea
Winter Solstice...a witches holiday
brings out the pagan in me

Brightest full moon
of my entire lifetime
Mother oceans tides
high and uplifting

I....like the ocean
am pulled by the moon
Emotions come crashing
my shore seaweed strewn

So a part of this earth
of her mysteries and her flow
No religion needed
nature is my heart and my soul

Sitting here...
on this darkest day
Moon lights sky.....
silent lunar display

Feeling one with the Goddes
of natures plan
Peace, love, and kindness
reigns in this land

So take your Christmas...
man god idea
Of conquest, control
and buy more diarrhea

Mother nature
rings true for me
A pagan rite
winter solstice serenity
